Mastering Your Message on "Welcome to Eloma" with Kiley Peters
Aug 02, 2024Benjamin Franklin is considered the grandfather of self-study and improvement and ever since the day he left his go-nowhere life in Boston to break out of his rigid social class to become his best self, we dream of reinvention.
And yet, despite that inspiring origin story of the self-made man and the idea of "free will" for the most part, people play by the script they believe they have been given. Since the day that human beings begin their time on earth, they are conditioned to follow the roles and rules set forth by culture.
Rebecca Gunter ✍️ -- candidly, the author of this post -- says f' that, my dudes. No one was born to be stuck in the same ol' same ol'. You can have a goddamned r/evolution any time you please. Early and often, without an explanation or apology. In fact, it's your sacred birthright.
Wanna build a business making miniature portraits for cats? Yes, please do that. Care to take your career in a whole 'nother direction? Rip up your resume and start again. Have you always been talking about the importance of having a solid bookkeeper...and now you want to become known as a financial advocate?
Don't worry about how; worry about what. People will adjust to your new reality. promise. And just because the world has never seen it, or isn't ready for it, doesn't mean it shouldn't very much be a thing. You don't have to play by the script that you've been given.
That's what Kiley Peters (Rossi), MBA, CPCC, ACC, CEPA means when she suggests, nay, demands that women founders, leaders, and entrepreneurs define success for themself. She refuses to accept the status quo and the way we've always done it. For Kiley, all business is personal; we couldn't agree more.
Join us in a spirited discussion on the podcast "Welcome to Eloma," Kiley's highly received entrepreneurial amplifier, about how to find the courage deep within yourself to rewrite the script you've been given and find your voice.
